Life Beyond 450 PPM

At the moment, the climate is experiencing a big rise of atmospheric CO2 from around 280 PPM in the pre-industrial era, to nearly 420 PPM today. The last time earth witnessed similar atmospheric CO2 concentrations was millions of years ago during the Miocene time.
Senior researcher at GEUS, Kasia Śliwinska explains how she studies past climate during the Miocene, and what her results can teach us about our present situation.
