The four legged fish
In the summer of 1931 Eigil Nielsen found a very significant fossils on a hill side in East Greenland. The fossil was identified as a missing link between fishes and early terrestrial vertebrates. Later it played a very important role in the dispute Denmark versus Norway at the International Court at Haague about the right to East Greenland.
